It’s been a while, but we’re back in business!
I had to take the server down for a complete reinstall, since I didn’t trust it anymore and didn’t want to risk being abused for distributing nasty spam or kiddyporn.
Since I had to do the reinstall anyway now, I took this oppertunity for a fresh start and did it clean and nicely. It was a good excuse to do away with a lot of crap I’ve been installing over the years.
Obviously my mail had a higher priority than my weblog, so I put my energy in that first. Then there was my girlfriend, who obviously had a higher priority than my weblog ;)
I’m quite confident I’m secure now. Let’s hope the Turkish hackers stay away now :)
